Hexon identifies three types of customers: resellers, partners and end users. All three own an inventory management system and have created an interface with DV. The main difference is the way DV is marketed to the customers.
A reseller sells DV under its own brand or label to its customers. Hexon has no direct relation with the customers. For Hexon, all customer and vehicle data is considered to be owned by the reseller. Resellers consider DV as an added value as it increased the functionality of their inventory management system. They make sure DV is integrated tightly into their system and make full use of all its possibilities. Resellers have their own service desk for customer inquiries. Hexon invoices the reseller. Resellers can have several hundreds of customers using DV, with 10 being the minimum, and actively sell subscriptions.
A partner is similar to a reseller as they also connect their inventory management system to DV, but their customers subscribe to the DV service with Hexon directly. Partners keep focus on their core product (the inventory management system) and create partnerships to meet customer demands. Hexon services and invoices the customers directly. A partner can have as little as two customers subscribing to DV.
An end user is a single company (perhaps with several outlets) that develop their connection from their inventory management system to DV in order to advertise their stock. So the owner of the inventory management system is the same as the owner of the objects. It is ideal for bigger companies that have invested in a custom inventory management system and want to have automatic advertising as well.
