Status information
DV keeps track of all advertisements allowing users to check the status at all times. For every selected site for every object the following information can be requested:
- Selected
Is the object currently selected for the site or not? (Does the advertiser want it advertised?)
- Advertised
Is the object currently advertised (and visible) on the site or not?
- Action
Is DV busy advertising, updating or deleting the advertisement?
- Errors
Has DV encountered any errors while advertising, updating or deleting the advertisement? If so, what is the problem and what can the advertiser do to get the error fixed?
For instance, if an object is selected for a site that requires at least one image the error could be something like "This site requires at least one image" and the solution will be "Please add one or more images".
- Warnings
Is there anything the advertiser could do to improve the advertisement?
- URL or URLs
If returned by the site, DV keeps track of the URL or URLs of the detail page of the advertisement. These can be localized.
- Statistical information
If the site exposes statistical information, for instance the amount of times the advertisement has been visited, DV gathers these statistics and makes them available in a structured matter.
Please keep in mind that DV is dependent on the information supplied by the sites for many of these feedback elements.
The feedback changes over time. It is advised to always fetch the most recent feedback before showing it to the advertiser. It is possible to subscribe to certain events that influence the feedback, for instance to receive a signal when an object has been advertised.
